Change, add, take away any part of this recipe, remember, possibilities are many when it come to cooking. Have fun! 😀
Directions:
While the pan is heating up on medium, cut bacon into small pieces. You want a sizzle when you toss in the bacon. Use no oil.
Chop the potatoes and the mushrooms while bacon is cooking.
Let the bacon fry a bit. Move it around. You want it to look like the pictures below. 😀
Make room for the potatoes, garlic and onion. Toss em’ in.
Salt potatoes.
Add pepper and basil. 1/2 tbs of basil, 1/2 tsp of pepper
“… little darling stir it up.”
Let it cook on medium low, occasionally stirring. For about 8-10 minutes.
Add ground beef or substitute. Season meat and mix by hand before cooking preferably, or season once placed in the pan as in these pictures below. Medium heat.
Season with salt, pepper and basil.
Mix it all up.
While it continues to cook, cut off celery ends.
Slice and cut.
Yes, leaves too!”
Toss in.
Mix.
Meat should be almost cooked or cooked all the way by now.
Add mushrooms, mix.
Cut carrots.
Toss em’ in, mix and let it cook covered for about 15 more minutes.
Taste it, if you need more salt, which I wouldn’t do. But if you do, add little by little. And cook another 3-4 minutes more. If at anytime it becomes dry, add water, just enough, about a 1/3 of a cup.
You want it juicy!”
