It's scientific name is Eucheuma Cottonii.
Very often this mineral rich algae is mistakenly referred to as "Golden Irish Sea Moss" or as "Chondrus Crispus.” In fact, Irish Sea moss is only found in the deep cold oceans, is red/brown in color, has a flat thallus and is not from the warm waters of the Caribbean.
