Wild crafted raw sun dried Irish Sea moss from the Northern Atlantic Sea. Our Irish Sea Moss is sustainably hand-harvested by local boatmen and thrives where cold waters meet strong currents, being fully exposed to the ocean.
It’s scientific name is Chondrus Crispus. We always use premium sun-dried Irish sea moss. Another defined difference from the Caribbean sea moss, besides the the color and thallus, is the stronger ocean taste and smell. It also contains a higher concentration of essential minerals.
Very often this mineral rich algae is mistaken with “Gold Sea Moss”, when in fact, Gold Sea moss is only found in the warm waters of the tropical seas.
